Fishing for a distinctive gift for a friend or maybe
for yourself?
Alaska salmon skin leather products are a great catch! Yes, they are made
from real fish skins. It’s an upscale product at a reasonable price. Enjoy
the luxury of owning a piece of wild Alaska.
Made in the last frontier on beautiful Kodiak Island, Alaska this
exquisite leather product is created from the natural fish skins of wild
salmon. Each year hundreds of millions of wild salmon return to Alaska’s
streams to spawn, completing their lifecycle as they have for thousands of
years. The salmon and other fish skins used at the Alaska Salmon Leather
Company are a natural by-product of the commercial fishing industry. We are
proud of our efforts with helping fully utilize the great renewable fishery
resource in Alaska.
Each fish skin is made into leather the old fashioned way, one piece at a
time. It takes a month to complete the 75-step hand process necessary to
turn a single skin into finished leather. The end result of this painstaking
attention to detail and hand labor is a beautiful, durable, long lasting
leather. Each skin displays a unique pattern and texture.
All of our leather products are made using the quality ‘Turned Edge’
method of construction; the edges of the leather are skived, folded, glued,
and stitched to prevent the exposure of raw leather edges, providing you
with a handsome finished product. Unsurpassed quality is evident throughout
from the elegantly lined interiors to the finely stitched, very strong fish
skin leather exterior.
Our goal is to provide you with the best fish skin leather products in
the world. Our products are well constructed, practical, durable, and long
lasting providing you with years of service. In fact, all our products are
guaranteed for defects in workmanship for 1 year. Just return the product
along with the receipt for a merchandise credit.
Because our leather products are made by hand, one at a time, and not
mass-produced on a production line, there may be times when a wait for a
certain product may occur.
